Blog #5This week I went to an activity for the school. Powder Puff football. I went on Monday night to work out and learn plays for our game on Wednesday evening. Since I am a sophomore I probably will not be able to play that much but going to that on Monday was considered my workout. On Tuesday I referred back to the Mayo Clinic for some simple core workouts such as crunches. I also started to do crunch twists which work the muscles that you don't even realize you have. I did step jumps on the steps on the basement steps of my grandparents house. I started at the bottom step and jumped to the farthest step possible for myself. I ended up on the 4th or 5th step. Then I did that on the way up and went back down to do step hops. I started hopping on the right leg and alternated all the way up the steps. This works your calf muscle and you don't realize how hard it is to put the weight on just one when you are use to using two all the time. |
