Sunday November, 5th
This week with school being let out and me not feeling too well this week torque did not happen. I was unable to attend this week. But on the positive note I had volleyball tryouts on Sunday evening. The first activity for tryouts was to start warming up and stretching and peppering with a partner. Then we were told to run 5 laps around the gym and stretch some more. I actually despise running. I would do anything other than running if I could, but it is a part of the life of a volleyball player. Then we had to do the butterfly drill. The butterfly drill is where you have people on different sides of the court and one side hits the ball and the passers pass to a target. This is a pretty easy drill. The next drill we had to do was hitting lines. This is my favorite drill because I love hitting it is my favorite thing in volleyball. Then we did a serve receive drill the rest of the time. At the very end of the tryouts we had to queen of the court. This is a really fun game that helps improve your serve receive ability. Monday November, 6th Another day of tryouts in the books. When we first got there we did the same drill, started warming up, and stretching. On Monday we did different stuff. We started out doing hitting lines for about 30-45 minutes. This gets really tiring after a while, but worth it. The last thing we did was play for about an hour and a half. I love playing it is truly where I find myself. The roster was posted and I made Champion Davie 16, Purple. |
